More about Kayla
Kayla has a Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Lethbridge, and she is a Registered Psychologist. She was born and raised in Lethbridge and met her husband here in 2010. She knew becoming a psychologist was her dream while volunteering for Victim Services and working for the University of Lethbridge as a student recruitment officer. She enjoys spending time with her family and going on walks in the coulee. In the winter, you can almost always find her with Penelope snuggled under a blanket with a good book.
Animal-Assisted Therapy
Animal-Assisted Therapy is just one of the many modalities Kayla uses while working with clients. Currently, Kayla has one dog that works with clients whose goals and personalities match with the dog attributes and scope of practise. Penelope, the Cavapoo, is pictured above. More about Michael
Michael recently acquired a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and is a Canadian Certified Counsellor. He was born and raised in Lethbridge while also living in Saskatoon for a period while attending the University of Saskatchewan. Psychology has long been a passion of his while attending university with the goal of becoming a psychologist following shortly after. This was reinforced while working in the social work field as well as youth addictions and corrections in Saskatchewan. Michael enjoys spending time with friends and family and tries to spend time in the outdoors hunting, fishing, and hiking while also being a specialty coffee enthusiast. When not doing this Michael enjoys sports (including Esports) as well as watching movies and reading. Additionally, travelling has become a passion of his travelling through Europe and choosing to live in Scotland for a year.
More about Mackenzie
Mackenzie has recently completed her degree in Psychology with a Minor in Religious Studies followed by her Masters in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. She is a Canadian Certified Counsellor working towards becoming a Registered Psychologist.
Mackenzie brings a wealth of life experience to her practice and has developed a deep appreciation for the difficulties and challenges that impact each individual in different ways. The greatest satisfaction for her is to sit with people who struggle with the demands present in their lives and find ways to rise above to reveal a stronger more capable self. It is inspiring!
When not working, Mackenzie loves running, sitting in the sun, or meeting up with friends for a walk or a coffee... but, her most treasured moments are the moments she gets to spend with her 3 daughters.
